Press Freedom: Letter to Kibaki
Dear President Kibaki:
On March 2, 2006 government forces raided the headquarters and printing plant of the Standard Group. In addition to destroying equipment and newspapers, they shut down the KTN news station.
This latest attack follows the jailing of three journalists from Standard Newspaper, attacks on Citizen Weekly, and ongoing harassment of journalists by government-sponsored forces.
I urge you to condemn these attacks and to support freedom of the press.

Hi! Just a mad question: I notice that you are in the same country as "Joe" who has registered his disapproval of our disapproval everywhere he can. He is a friend of mine (at least online) so I am most sincere in asking--what response do we give to him? And thanks for putting the letter up.

FYI: I am not in Joe's country, just that i use Google Web Accelerator which cache's my blog in a server i guess in Israel.

I think Joe's in a sort of warped reality, so far away from reality of what is happening in Kenya. I am in Kenya, and i see these things happening.
